Social Ministry

We are part of all of God’s creation; we are called to share all that we have received to make this world a better place.
Social Ministry is all the work we are guided to do in the local community, nationally, and internationally. For example:
- The first Tuesday of every month members of Abiding Peace cook and serve 120 to 150 meals at Faith Kitchen at Trinity Lutheran Church in Dover.
- We offer a food pantry at Abiding Peace open to everyone in need – please call the church for more information.
- We have other ongoing ministries like the coupon project for overseas soldiers (www.ocpnet.org) and collecting Campbell’s soup labels for a school at a Native American reservation.
- Over the years we have collected blankets for women’s shelters and Native Americans, school kits, money for World Hunger and have taken part in the Heifer Project.
