Fellowship and evangelism go hand in hand – you really can’t have one without the other! When you’re sharing a cup of coffee and a plate of goodies with a visitor you’re evangelizing. You’re sharing why Abiding Peace is such a great church and making visitors feel welcome.
Abiding Peace has always been a warm and welcoming place. The goal of the Fellowship Committee is to assist in making our visitors feel at home. One of the ways we do that is to always have coffee, juice and some kind of refreshments available on Sunday mornings.
The Fellowship Committee provides a variety of opportunities for fellowship, such as potluck suppers, picnics, outings to baseball games, “Meet to Eat” dinners, movies and other activities. This gives us the opportunity to get to know each other better… which brings us full circle as to why fellowship and evangelism are connected!
