The mission of Christian Education is to assist members in deepening their faith walk and learning to walk increasingly in the ways of Jesus Christ in the world.
APLC's Sunday School program for ages 3-12 is based on the One Room Sunday School curriculum from Cokesbury Publishing House. It is led by Sue Corneilson, with assistance from Beth Blakely. Sunday School is offered during the school year with a break during the summer months.
APLC offers various short courses for adults during the school year (September-June). In Spring 2010 we will offer See Through the Scriptures, a 12-week survey of the Bible, on Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m. beginning in February. The Lutheran Course II is back on Tuesdays at 7:30 p.m. beginning in February. For those wishing to dig a little deeper we will offer the Kerygma: Romans course on Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. beginning in February. Sharing Your Faith will begin on Tuesdays at 7:30 p.m. beginning April 27th.
APLC also offers Confirmation classes to assist parents in preparing teenagers who wish to affirm their faith as adult members of the congregation. Parents of teens wishing to begin Confirmation instruction should speak with Pastor Thane.
